Assessing the Impact of LeaPPS Action Research in Kamwenge, Kyenjojo, Arua and Koboko districts

This study presents the results of a cross sectional study to evaluate the impact of local learning on the adoption of low cost sanitation facilities.  The report provides insight on lesson learnt so far around Technology designs and cost effectiveness, Maintenance and use, Use of the by-products, Knowledge transfer and capacity building. The Action-Research for Learning for Policy and Practice in Rural Household and Primary School Sanitation and Hygiene (LeaPPS) is a Simavi, IRC and SNV supported project linked to an ongoing initiative on rural sanitation and hygiene. Network for Water and Sanitation (NETWAS) Uganda through partner organizations (HEWESA in the Rwenzori region and Caritas Arua in West Nile) implements the project.
